Robert J. Newbold
Robert Newbold is the President and Co-founder of 51 Oakwood, Inc. dba Radiation Therapy Billing Specialists (RTBS). The successor company was incorporated in 1990 in Michigan and transferred to 51 Oakwood in August, 2003. 51 Oakwood provides billing and consulting services for specialists across the United States.
RTBS has been structured as a division of 51 Oakwood and provides billing and consulting services exclusively for Radiation Oncologists.
Rob’s intense entrepreneurial expertise led him to purchase the company which he and his partner have quickly moved forward by investing in excellent people and capital resources to ensure HIPAA compliance. Following extensive research, they also installed software that has won top honors from Microsoft Healthcare Users Group Industry Solutions - bringing clients the industry leader in physician software and billing of providers.
An attorney by trade, Rob has been recognized as one of the nations leading attorneys in the area of business and franchise law. His attention to detail, compliance and Federal and State regulation prove to be extremely valuable in today’s changing healthcare environment.

Scott Victor Watkins, M.D.
Scott Victor Watkins, M.D. joined the 51 Oakwood team as medical director July 1st of 2009.
Dr. Watkins did his radiation oncology residency at Albert Einstein/Temple University’s Hospital in Philadelphia and completed an internship in Family Medicine at West Virginia University Hospitals. He received his medical degree at the West Virginia School of Medicine and got his undergraduate degree from McDaniel (Western Maryland) College in Westminster, Maryland.
Dr. Watkins brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the specialty of Radiation Oncology.
He has special training with Gamma Knife radiosurgery, Stereotactic radiosurgery and training in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), which is considered the most advanced radiation available to destroy cancer cells without damaging normal tissue.
Dr. Watkins is board-certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology.
He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Onocology, the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, as well as the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group.
Dr. Watkins is not licensed to practice medicine and surgery in Ohio. In his capacity with the company, he does not engage in patient care or related activities constituting the practice of medicine and surgery in Ohio.
