The billing service is the initial phase of the 51 Oakwood regime. Once the claim is billed and electronically filed, we diligently continue monitoring the claim status to ensure the claim was received properly and is being processed for payment. Adjustments for negotiated contracts and Medicare adjustments are carefully reviewed to be certain that your write-off and account receivable balance is not improperly inflated or conversely that you are receiving the maximum amount allowed for each procedure. We then immediately follow up on denials for improper coding, data entry, bundling codes, and other issues within 24 hours of receipt and re-submit the claim to the payors. If patient documentation or notes are necessary we will contact you and process any appeals or resubmittals on a timely basis.

Our Premier Billing Service staff will also assist you in the negotiation of third party contracts with carriers on a yearly basis or when you add a new provider or insurance to your practice. In addition to the submission of claims, we also handle all patient payments, telephone inquiries and collection procedures. 51 Oakwood will establish budgets for patient direct payments, track the patient account receivable and pursue collections with the consent of the practice.
